It's that time again! Pack your bags, ready your liver and kidneys and get on your way to GAMESCOM 2017!

[DISCLAIMER] This post was meant to go on the new site, WHICH IS NEARLY-ISH READY-ISH, but Ico is a bloody liability [/DISCLAIMER]

Already a year has passed since the last Gamescom. We have not had much in the way of good games in the past year but Gamescom is always a welcome trip which isn’t always about the games (So. Much. Alcohol).

This year is set to match last year's for headcount with roughly 15 IN'ers in attendance and an itinerary that'd make an Scotsman's liver cry! Jokes and near blood alcohol poisoning aside, this year the guild is very proud to be volunteering over at the Crowfall Booth, as many will remember we had a great night with the ACE, Travian and other guilds last year, so we're hoping to pay some of their generosity back!

On top of helping out around the Crowfall booth for two days, we've also got Laser quest, Korean BBQ, trips to Burger Bro's and plenty more in stock for the week, so get HYPPUUUUU!

Back to the topic of games though we've got Destiny 2 to dive into just before we all come home and play the PC Beta and the big hitters like Battlefront II and Blizzards 'Undisclosed Announcment' to check out!

To those of you coming, don't forget you'll want some big soft shoes you can walk around in all day, a swagbag for loot and possibly one of those popup chairs if you really want to queue like a champ!  For those of you not coming, SORT YOUR LIVES OUT MATES!

Gamescom HYPE!

We have been waiting for this trip to Gamescom to meet up again for too long, but the wait is finally over! With a grand total of 14 people attending this year it is shaping up to be another memorable event.

So with the hype train in full swing, let’s get the IN itinerary (aside from relentless amounts of drinking) down on paper!

Drinking with the Star Citizen Devs

Unfortunately CIG won’t be running their legendary presentation/party night outside of Gamescom this year, instead holding the main event inside Koelnmesse with a few evenings of laid back drinks and SC banter in between, we’re planning to head over to the Deutzer Brauhaus on Thursday the 18th from 8pm to go catch up with the citizens of the ‘verse!

Crowfall VIP Party

As a guild we have been invited to the Crowfall event hosted by Travian. This is the game most of us are looking forward to for our next big MMO, some more than others, judging by their current pledge amount! Since we have been invited as a guild, those of us that have guild polos or hoodies are asked to keep them clean and wear them to this event! REPRESENT!

ESL/Twitch party

The ESL and Twitch are hosting a party on the 20th of August. If you have not got your tickets yet then head here to save yourself €5 on the door!
Live DJ sets and free booze at this party, do we need to say more.

Korean BBQ

The last trip to Gamescom, we were not able to get to the Korean BBQ restaurant due to the point below but this time, we’re booking ahead. Currently the day is not set but we will let everyone know when it is booked.  We’re hoping to go on the 20th as a prelude to Twitch messyness!

13 Long Island Ice Teas: The Re-Icening

Our first trip to Gamescom was the origin of the Circle “13 Long Island Ice Teas” and we expect to have plenty more stories to come out of this year’s Gamescom. Plenty of drink and fun to be had. For some, this will be the first time meeting up with everyone in person, others have met before, either at the last GC or other meetups. For everyone though, this should be something that will make those that didn’t attend jealous!

Pack well and prepare your livers, Gamescom is here.

Crowfall looks cool, but do I read it right it costs $179 to get access to the beta/alpha tests?  (@Ico/Jenro) :o

That's possibly the packages to get yourself into the current rounds of pre-alpha.  But I believe the cheaper packages get access, just later in the dev cycle.

News / January News Update!

Hello there!

We hope everyone has had a good Christmas and New Year and that their 2016’s have kicked off how they wanted!  Without much further ado, let’s dive into IN’s plans for this coming year!

We’re going to start off with the sadder news of the year, but don’t worry we’ve got plenty of good stuff to come!  Firstly, after a lot of discussions with our members over the past weeks and between ourselves, we’ve decided to call it a day with WildStar.  We came back with the goal of clearing Datascape before Christmas, and we outdid ourselves, shutting down Avatus before the end of November!  However, with WildStar’s future looking rather uncertain and a confirmation of no new raid in the next content patch, we’ve decided to call it quits.

Secondly, it is with great sadness we announce that Davo has decided to retire his position as one of our trusty Commissars, unfortunately and rightly so, one’s real life should always be a priority.  We’d like to thank him for the long hours and hard work he’s put in over the last year.  His dedication to scouring the forums and various WildStar chat channels is what brought many of you to us!

Ok, so wipe the tears from those pretty eyes of yours, here’s what we’re doing going forward!

Eyes on Crowfall

As many of you know, returning to WildStar was only ever a stop gap for us.  Since summer of 2015 we’ve been hawking (har har) Crowfall as our next major MMO.  With its focus on territory conquest and PvP, it’s got our collective jimmies mighty excited.  If you haven’t already checked it out, make sure to go stop by their site, and if you’ve got any more questions feel free to poke Ico or Jenro, as we’re both in the Alpha and happy to explain our plans for the game!  We’re also streaming the game when the tests are live, but please remember the game is in early Alpha and it there’s a long way to go yet!

Heroes of the Stuuuuuuuurrrrrrrm!

Our love of HoTS as a guild is no small secret, and after the success of our first in-house HoTS night, we’re planning to do more!  Make sure to keep an eye on the raid planner, as we’ll be using that to schedule our GCNs (Community Game Nights) and events!  We’re also hearing calls to form a pre-made Team League team, and we may even end up launching two!

Star Citizen

A small group of us have had an eye on Star Citizen for quite a while, and with the Universe content starting to roll out, we’ve begun preparation for our little mercenary chapter!  We’re still keeping to our one MMO focus, but with the details and dates of Star Citizen’s launch clouded in mystery, we’re just playing to sharpen our skills!  If you’re interested in joining us, make sure to poke a council member before creating your account, as we’re round robining friend referrals to give everyone a little something something.

Guild Comms and VoIP

So with our ongoing struggles with the TS server host and it’s unannounced maintenance windows, the Council and Guild have been doing live testing of Discord.  We’ve now decided that the switch will be permanent, and we’ll continue to have our old TS server as a backup until the subscription expires!  Discord is a free service with great chat integration and a complement multi-platform apps, it even works in web browser, making staying in touch with the guild easier than ever.  To our members, we’ll have a guide up (now?!?) on the forums, so if you need help with the setup, make sure to check it out.

Whilst there’s a few more bits in the pipeline (GAMESCOM HYPE!), we feel this post has probably gone on for long enough, so we’ll see you in game you beautiful bastards!

Muchos love,
The Council (and Commissar!) of IN

News / Happy Holidays from IN!
« on: December 25, 2015, 01:43:03 pm »

To all our guildies, friends and beyond, happy holidays from IN!

What a cracking year it's been for the guild, we started off quiet, with just the core playing HoTS ranked and some other games together, through to our industrious return to WildStar just before Free-2-Play.

This has been a year of change for the guild, expanding the council with capable souls, the return of many old faces, and the welcome addition of many more to our little madhouse.  However, even with these changes we've not lost who we are and what IN is about, competing and playing games to the highest level of our capabilities and having fun with your friends whilst doing it.

I'd like to take this time to thank each and every one of you all for your time, dedication and especially patience (with Nra).  We came back to WildStar with the one goal of downing Avatus before Christmas, and we completely smashed it.  Now, rest up, drink, be merry and steel yourselves for whatever 2016 has in store for us!

Happy Holidays all!

Muchos love,
The Council of IN

Annnd it's done! After a few nights progression the final bastion of Datascape has fallen! Avatus is down, and way before our Xmas goal.  Now to step up against Hardmentors whilst we prep for Redmoon in the new year.

Big congratulations to all, a kill well worth the effort put into it.

That's right folks, Life/Fire down along with Water/Logic and Life/Air last week, rounding off the "hard" elemental pairs! After reforming and blitzing Datascape harder than London, we're here, staring down the barrel of some rather oversized hologuns and ready to take down the Datascape's big bad himself, Avatus.

Grab your sugary energy drinks, clean your keyboards and focus the f&*k up.  It's time to put this instance to bed.

News / IN Goes 5.3(6)/9 in Datascape!
« on: October 19, 2015, 06:30:46 pm »

What happens when you combine the Datascape, the IN raid team and no server issues?  Three new bosses down in one night, that's what happens!

After a few cancelled raids due to server lag, Auth server crashes and general F2P transition pain, we finally got to sink our teeth back into Datascape progression and what a bite we took out of it!  Big congratulations to team for bringing their A game last night, only a few bosses left now before we're facing down Avatus!

Just over two months to hit our #AvatusBeforeXmas goal! PUSH PUSH!

Never thought I'd find myself wanting Nra though...

News / IN Returns!
« on: September 20, 2015, 04:55:09 pm »

Well hello there!

After nearly a year of quietly drifting through space, playing Heroes of the Storm and whatever else we fancy, we’ve decided the time is right to return to Nexus.  With many of our grievances with WildStar patched away and raid size to a far more sustainable 20man, Immortalis Noctis is back for Free to Play!

Now you’ll have to bear with us on the site, our smaller size required nothing more than VoIP to organise games and schedules and in doing so meant we’ve let the old girl fall into a state of disrepair.  As such we’re currently working on a new site and new forum solution (but don’t worry our address will stay the same), but in the meantime we’ll continue to use the current site as our online home.

So if you’re looking to return to WildStar for F2P, or perhaps you foolishly fell out of contact with the most lovable guild you’ve ever been in, we’re here and our doors are open*, come say hi!

Muchos love,
The Council of I.N
